Yesterday was busy! We started off at the Salem Twp. Flag Day - TopicsExpress

Yesterday was busy! We started off at the Salem Twp. Flag Day parade, under beautiful skies. Marching bands, classic cars, tons of great food and friends. Visited with Washtenaw County Commissioner Dan Smith and township officials, and chatted with folks lined up to watch. Commissioner Conan Smith and his lovely wife state Senator Rebekah Warren were there, too. Then it was on to the African American Festival downtown, with games, food and more beautiful outdoor fun. Spent the afternoon with Jeff Irwin at Burgers on Bellwood... Lets just say the company was great and the burgers were even better! Jeffs annual barbecue is neighborhood fun, with a dash of surprise: Lisa Brown, Democratic candidate for Michigan Lieutenant Governor stopped by, as did Debbie Dingell, candidate for the 12th Congressional District, Michigan Representative Sam SIngh, Ann Arbors own Representative Adam Zemke, and of course, Jeffs wife, Kathryn Loomis who made sure everyone was well cared for. Then Christi Myers and I spent the evening watching the Detroit Tigers beat the Red Sox. Lots of fun! Today well be at Grilling for Food Gatherers. Look for us at the Washtenaw Farm Council grounds. Also, if you havent had the chance yet, please make your way over to my campaigns facebook page, like it, follow it, whatever people do on facebook. You can find it at facebook/votewoodyard.
