Yesterday was difficult . . . Physically, mentally, & emotionally. Some rain, but it was the muddy trail that made things hard. The group that I have been traveling with were going farther than I had planned; but I said that I would stay with them; whats a Boy Scout to do? We were a group of two Spanish women (they asked me to be their protector), an Italian man (now you see why they needed a protector), a Spanish family traveling with horses, and an on/off group of mixed Spaniards. I was forced to speak Spanish all day; not a bad thing, just fatiguing. 8 years ago, today, my father died. Last year, we held the memorial for Donna. I had no internet connection & no way to express myself. Big emotional drain. Another long day ahead; 20 Km to Logroño. I will take the day off on Sunday. Almost forgot . . . Happy Independence Day!
