Yesterday was my birthday. Yesterday my husbands beloved Grandfather died. All day, my family kept saying were sorry youre not getting a celebratory birthday or it is so sad that Papa died on your birthday. I didnt think of it at all that way. My birthday is just another day of the year marking my time on this planet. I will also share that date with one of the most incredible men I have ever met who helped shaped the truly most incredible man I have ever met. He will forever be part of my special day and I will carry that with love and pride. He had a saying that my husband shared with me when we first met and uses it so often that it is imprinted on my brain and my soul: D. T. R. T. That stands for Do The Right Thing. It was Papas moto for life and he lived it every singe day. Jen
