Yesterday was my first day of using Brain Power essential oil - TopicsExpress

Yesterday was my first day of using Brain Power essential oil blend on Alex! I will definitely continue using this oil! It is a blend of oils that are high in sesquiterpenes, and has been said to help with brain fog (which is why its talked about for autism a lot). It is used to clarify thought and develop greater focus. Alex is not much of a pointer. Dont get me wrong, he does do it sometimes - but he reaches in the general direction of the item he wants more often than actually pointing directly at what he wants. Yesterday was awesome! He walked into the kitchen and pointed at a closed (CLOSED!) cabinet. He was pointing DIRECTLY where his favorite treat is kept even though he could not see it in front of him. Then, Aaron opens up the dryer. Alex walks over to help him close the door! Alex then noticed a coffee cup fell out of the trash and he walked over, picked it up, put it in the trash, and closed the lid! Another great thing - he remembered something from HOURS before. Alex walked into the bathroom and pointed at where his bath toys are kept, but he had brought them all to another room hours before that (yes, I know bath toys are generally kept IN the bath haha). He stands there for a second and you can see it flash across his face - he remembered where he put them and went and got them. I LOVE this oil! The Blood-Brain Barrier by David Stewart, Ph.D., R.A. has this to say about sesquiterpenes: Sesquiterpenes are compounds of three isoprene units, which is fifteen carbons and twenty-four hydrogens per molecule- molecular weight 204 amu. There are more than 10,000 kinds of sesquiterpenes. Sesquiterpenes are the principal constituents of Cedarwood (98%), Vetiver (97%), Spikenard (93%), Sandalwood (Aloes) 90%, Black Pepper (74%), Patchouli (71%), Myrrh (62%), and Ginger (59%). They are also found in Galbanum, Onycha, and Frankincense (8%). Sesquiterpene molecules deliver oxygen molecules to cells, like hemoglobin does in the blood.... The American Medical Association (AMA) has said that if they could find an agent that would pass the blood-brain barrier, they would be able to find cures for ailments such as Lou Gehrigs disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimers disease, and Parkinsons disease. Such agents already exist and have been available since Biblical times. The agents, of course, are essential oils-particularly those containing the brain oxygenating molecules of sesquiterpenes. #autism #asd #essentialoils #youngliving
