Yesterday we (Igwe Twins) were invited as guest panellists for first edition of Enterprise Day alongside Gov. Babatunde Fashola of Lagos state. The aim of this 1-day interactive session with BRF is to foster enterprise education, awareness and participation among technical college students and graduates. This will go a long way in helping Lagos youths cope with the negative impact of changing labour market conditions of high unemployment, rather, embrace entrepreneurial activities and develop the right attitude towards entrepreneurship and self-employment. The Forum will assist in re-orientating the Society, Parents and Youths on the role of T echnical V ocational E ducation (TVE) , while reinforcing the relevance of the technical colleges in raising graduates with skills and competences as entrepreneurs to grow micro-enterprises into SMEs. This is coming one week after a successful partnership with United Nation International organisation UNIDO and Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment to empower over 1500 unemployed youths in Lagos. At Speedmeals we are passionate about helping Governments and organisations to formulate policies that will create jobs and improve the living standards of Nigerian youths. We know it is possible!
