Yesterday we attended the Diversity and Inclusion Summit hosted by the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Human Rights Kevin Lindsey. He and Governor Dayton encouraged Commissioners and state leaders to recruit, hire, promote and retain a diverse workforce, including people with disabilities by listening to best practices from business and agencies. Michael Murray from the Obama administration spoke. Micah Hines Governor Daytons General Counsel, who working with the Commission on an Executive Order to increase employment of people with disabilities attended along with leaders from 3M, DHS, MNDOT and the Met Council.
