Yesterday, we rented a scotter to drive around the two volcanos that make up Ometepe Island in Lake Nicaragua. Traffic hazards there are a little different than we find back home. Chickens crross the road in a frenzied fashion (we couldnt get an answer as to why); horses are a regular mode of transportation; the beautifully paved road suddenly disappears without warning and cattle, parched from their meager dining options during this dry season, must travel from the farm to the lake for cool water.
