Yesterday, we traveled up to Yorktown to have lunch at the Carrot - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, we traveled up to Yorktown to have lunch at the Carrot Tree Restaurant. It was so busy, people were standing outside in the rain waiting to get in. How wonderful to see so many patriotic people wanting to support his business. We then took a drive on the Colonial Parkway. It is a beautiful road - very scenic. Can you believe they had orange barrels blocking all the pull-off areas to prevent people from stopping to enjoy the view from a parked car?? The sign said it is because of the federal shutdown. How much did it cost to put up 8 barrels at each pull-off and hang signs off them?? Most areas were less than 10 feet off the side of the road. It shows you another example of how stupid and vindictive this federal government can be. I know this example is not as terrible compared to the suffering they are giving the Veterans, it just makes you want to shake your head in disgust. I hope the Republicans can stand up to this president and stop this government takeover of our freedoms.
