Yesterday we went to the movies and saw two very good shows. First was Savings Mr. Banks, we found this movie very moving as Mr Disney strived to understand Mrs. Traves and her writing about Mary Poppins. I loved the characters as protrayed by Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson. Both characters needed an understanding of each other and their coming to terms with the needs of each person involved. In the end my tears fell as it all came together. Our second film of the day was August: Osage County about a disfunctional family coming together after the suicide/death of father and husband. I must admit I am usually not taken with drama but Meryl Streep is the most amazing actress of our time. I was so taken with her ability to play and create her character that she left me almost speechless. She was magnificient in her role. Fantastic! We took the day off to celebrate Glenns birthday, a day early. Fun, Fun, Fun.
