Yesterday, yours truly spent over four hours of his daily twenty-four hours to hang out with friends and make merry. Although it was an unplanned adventure, I assure you, it was worthwhile. While the clubbing, drinking, dancing, eating and smoking was ongoing, we discussed situations, exchanged ideas, analyzed issues, build bridges and made friends amongst ourselves. I met three young and handsome members of the Nigerian Bar; people you might never guess are lawyers. In all, we were ten young men at that Bar. There was no lady in sight. It was just a guys-only session. That was when the thought occurred. What if some group of jobless policemen come on to us and arrest all of us on the assumption that we are gays? I quickly scanned around the premises to be sure there are no men on black. Just when I thought were safe, a Uniformed Policeman walked in. I almost said this is it when my subconscious reminded me that there are four lawyers and two men of the Nigerian Army amongst us. I didnt need an Oracle to tell me nothing de happen. That was when I decided to shove off all worries and concentrate on the barbeque fish and suya. Suffices to say it was fun! And I went home some few minutes to 12am only to meet a closed gate. The rest of the story is history!
