Yesterdays Niihau dive was amazing! I asked the Universe before the dive to give me the presence of sharks and Hawaiis famous Monk Seals. Last March, I didnt get a chance to see a Monk Seal but I know someday it will come. On our last dive (3 dives) there were only 3 divers left, including the wonderful Ms. Linda of Bubbles Below. There was a Sandbar shark following us since our first dive. This guy was very persistent. I didnt know if he mistakenly thought that I am a mature seal but even if Linda was making some noise, this Sandbar was still there. Then suddenly out from nowhere, a cute Monk Seal appeared and saved us. The Sandbar Sharks attention diverted to the seal and we were left alone. It was amazing to witness all of the natures wonderful gift. My birthday wish was granted and I am one lucky brown gal!
