Yesterdays sermon was amazing and it is something I will carry with me always! I want my children to have empathy for others and to have the feeling guilt of when they do wrong. As parents, its our job to establish the feeling of guilt when our children do wrong...in a loving and caring manner. They have to feel that they did wrong (guilt) in order to feel the need to correct the wrong doing and help prevent it in the future. Having your child being able to apologize & mean their apology, is so important. I love that my older two can do this and say I forgive you without my help, most of the time ;) It is a hard lesson sometimes, but we have to instill in our children to have empathy for others and understand the power of forgiveness.
