Yesterday’s list of 10 Things to Do Beyond Ancestry - see ancstry.me/1l0jDnp - included the suggestion to run a data errors report in Family Tree Maker. Several of you asked about it. The data errors report will point out places where you may have errors or missing data in your tree. To run a data error report, open your tree in Family Tree Maker. > Click on the “Publish” link in the top navigation. > Select “Person Reports” from the Publication Types on the left. > Choose “Data Errors Report.” This is a great place to get started cleaning up your tree and creating a research plan. Tip: If Family Tree Maker 2014 is acting up on you during the site outage, click File > Work Offline, and this should resolve any instabilities related to it trying to sync with the online trees.
