Yet another OGILI day! At breakfast this morning, the whole place ponged of ogili which was wafting through from every orifice in the kitchen into the mess. As expected, there were a lot of disgusted faces, cultural differences and all. At the midday management meeting the Camp Manager apologised to a mostly expat audience re the smell this morning and that the offending meal had been removed from the menu. It took a superhuman effort to stop me from saying something not very nice. Why do I have to compromise on what I like because a minority find the aroma offensive?? All for multiculturalism & tolerance!
