Yevgenia Semeina-Maroyan opens Sunday’s service with a Bach organ sonata. That should warm us up! Soprano soloist Julie Gregorio will offer Malcolm Dalglish’s setting of American poet Wendell Berry’s “To the Holy Spirit”: O Thou, far off and here, whole and broken, Who in necessity and in bounty wait, Whose truth is light and dark, mute though spoken, By Thy wide grace, show me Thy narrow gate. Rev. Kim’s sermon is called “Experiencing the Sacred,” and the Arlington Street Choir will sing the African American spiritual, “Over My Head” (get ready for mezzo soprano Glorivy Arroyos solo!). We loved it so much the first time, Director of Music Mark David Buckles will lead us in another hymn mash-up to close the service. This time, it’s “Love to Guide Our Way” and “Set a Fire”!
