Yield to the Present 2010 12 x 12 acrylic on panel This is a piece I did while on my first workshop in California with Nicholas Wilton. That is where my passion for painting started and I have Nicks mentoring and teaching to thank for much of that. If any of you have the opportunity to take any of his classes nicholaswilton/workshops-3/ you will know what I mean. A facebook friend, and great painter, Karen Stastny asked me if I ever regretted selling any of my paintings... This is a small piece but I have it here at home. I wont sell it. Besides the fact that I still love it, it also has value to me as it recalls where my journey with painting began.....I would love to enlarge this piece and paint it really BIG! michelasorrentino
