Yin and yang, means tension and release. If youve ever watched a movie without tension or release, youll know how dull that is. Hence we somehow, at some level, manifest the story-lines of our lives with this yin-yang tension-release equation to give the process dynamics, lest it turns to boring mush. For sure, we can have it boring and mushy ir thats what feels like getting the best value from being alive. But people I meet whove managed that magic trick invariably complain of being bored and stuck in mush. This other way, this rolling with the punches and riding the random for all its worth, Barefoot style I live and advocate myself, is far less safe of course, but it certainly packs the punch I believe we came here to experience. It requires fully letting go into the adventure, fully trusting the fairy-godmother entity inherent in the flow, the Tao or whatever you want to call it, letting it toss you one way and the other, slam you up against the wall, hurl you oer hill and dale, and whatever else it wants to do with you, but always to land you in fresher, greener pastures: extreme Ceroc (dancing) with the Tao. The strain of the tension is worth every bit of the release. Like needing to pee really badly and then having a pee. Its without doubt one of the most beautiful sensations on Earth. I dont know why it never became a craze – extreme pee-retention. (Dont try this at home kids). And its the same with the hurdy-gurdy of rolling with the flow. May your flow be golden (as in magic rather than urinal). Saucy Saturday. CHI!
