I’m Mitch, I run Northside Guitars, a repairs and setup workshop in Preston, MELBOURNE. My 9-5 job for the last 18 months has been working as a professional setup/repair tech for a major Melbourne wholesaler (I’m not just a Gumtree schmuck), and now I am running my own business and keen to meet some new guitarists! I’ve been pretty stoked to already work on guitars from some killer Melbourne bands like Foxtrot, Mesa Cosa, Bone Soup touring, Robot Mugabe, The Harlots, Murdena, Gang Darts, and more. For the month of January I’m doing a special price of $50 for standard setups (+ string cost and +$15 for floyds), which includes restring with your choice of strings, fretboard clean and condition, electronics cleaned and lubed, truss rod and action adjustment, nut height adjustments (if needed), and intonation set. I will also inspect the guitar for any other problems including high frets, cracks, etc. and recommend how to move forward. That’s not all I do though, I also offer: - Custom wiring and re-wiring to vintage spec - installing electronics/hardware - Refrets (including SS and Evo fretwire) - headstock and structural repairs - new bone nuts - fret level/dress/crown/polish (All these services are additional prices) I am experienced and capable working on electrics, acoustics, basses, ukes, banjo’s, new, old, broken, – whatever!
