Yo ho ho and a bottle of Martinellis (Im a sober pirate)!Im so tired of hearing people say I never discuss religion or politics. I myself am fine with discussing any subject. The more serious the better. However I must always state that I am never absolutely sure of anything. There is no absolute, provable eternal truth in this violent universe that can be demonstrated to anyone, anywhere at any time. There is always a tiny chance that you, I and anyone else is wrong about anything and everything we are so sure of that wed bet our lives on it. Christmas is in two days so I feel it necessary to mention that I endured 12 years of private Episcopal School then 12 years later I almost went to seminary to become a minister!!!! I studied many different versions of The Bible, Codexes and Gospels not found in the New Testament. I even traveled to Israel to study.l I have many many sources to support my very unorthodox version of history. That is why I stand firm in my belief that Yeshu Bar Elohim (Jesus) was born on September 15th, 7 B.C. in Bethlehem, Judea and he grew up there. I do not accept that Jesus grew up poor and uneducated in Nazareth. I am of the opinion that His Earthly father Joseph was a scribe in the Temple and Yeshu grew up studying the Torah from birth. Its historically questionable whether Nazareth even existed before 27 or even 70 AD. so again I am not convinced Jesus was born in Nazareth but rather in Bethlehem. And as a matter of fact, i am convinced that no one in any religion can prove that their beliefs or their interpretation of God is the only way to reach heaven after this life. I can not say I am a Christian, Budhist, Muslim or any other title people give themselves in order to be part of a group. I consider myself a truth seeker. trying to understand, willing to listen to any possibility and always receptive to the opinions of others until they become intolerable to me personally. So whether Jesus was from Nazareth or not may or may not be important at all. Besides I am more concerned with the town of Bethlehem becuase of this incredibly beautiful Christmas song I dedicate to all who love this time of year!
