Yo, lets talk. I know Ive been promoting heavily about my band You Bred Raptors?s new album. I appreciate all the support. I hope I havent put anyone off by acting whorish about the project. Its just after 17 years of taking music seriously, its finally starting to pay off. I know I have probably been unfriended or muted in the Facebook world for talking about it. But I would like to think I always do it in a semi-entertaining and non-intrusive kind of way. Hey, all-my-friends-in-the-United-Kingdom... have I ever invited you to a show in Brooklyn? NOPE. Have I ever spammed your email box if youve signed up for our mailing list? NOPE. Have I just tried to give you creative and interesting music? Hopefully the answer is yes, unless you listen to crappy country music. I was struck today after doing about 3 hours of business emails that our song/music video Pickpocket is almost at 8K views. Now, in the grand scheme of things, thats nothing to sneeze at. BUT, its remarkable that it has no thumbs-downs. In this internet age there is rampant negativity and hiding behind ISP addresses. And I know if we had 800K views, that would be different. But Im okay where it is at now. If youve never heard my composing, here is a good place to start. This was released over a year ago and Im still proud of it. Im so stoked to release new material with this band. Its the best stuff Ive ever written with the two best guys I can write it with.
