Yoga and Mindfulness for people with Autism and ADHD is running in the rolling hills of the beautiful South Cotswolds on 27,28,29th February 2015. This exciting course will give the course students: A thorough understanding of Autisim Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and ADD/ADHD biopsychosocial and developmental perspective An understanding of how to use yoga and mindfulness (MFN) therapeutically in bringing the physical and emotional body into balance (e.g. support with emotional regulation, motor planning and co-orindation). An understanding how yoga and MFN can be used to restore health and well-being (e.g. influences digestion, metabolism and elimination and enhances immune function). An understanding of the use of yoga as a daily ‘sensory diet’ Ability to planning for and teaching (1:1 and group) yoga classes (sequences and class plans) An understanding in how, when and why yoga works for these populations by bringing together ancient wisdom from yoga and mindfulness practices with current neuroscience findings. Ways in which to develop tools for the yoga practitioner to enable the effective delivery of yoga therapy, including the use of Yoga Nidra. If you sign up before the 1st January 2015, the total investment is £300 for the 3 days. This includes all course materials and lunch.
