Yom Kipur. the holiest day in the Jewish religion. The day of internal inventory. A day of humility. The Jewish people of Israel, my people, in the diaspora and in Israel, I am proud to be part of this remarkable ancient tribe. People that have been around for thousand of years. Overcoming the most difficult and painful hardships. Thriving through it all. Maintaining our morals, hope, education. Always caring and helping the needy and weak. That is also the reason why we were and are persecuted and hated. Being a mere spec on this earth, we are valued and feared as if we were a billion people. This obsession with us through history, affirms the fact that our ways are our strength and the reason for fear, envy and hate. The more we are being hated and persecuted, the more we thrive, accomplish and succeed. Unfortunately, it seems, that we are only strongly united when we are in danger. When times are good, we tend to fight with each other. Maybe thats why we are constantly under world pressure - To make sure we stay together. In these very challenging and testing times,I wish us, patience, acceptance and serenity. The strength to persevere. Continue setting our goals high and achieving them. Most of all, live together, with respect and love. Support each other in good times as we do in bad times. Let us be the light to the nations, as was predicted thousands of years ago. Lets hope the world will wake up and realize, they are guided by fear and jealousy and will choose to rid himself from lies, deception and hate. I wish us all, a good sweet and peaceful year. May we find happiness and fulfillment. May we feel loved and show love. Shana Tova ve Gmar Hatima Tova. Am Israel Chay ve Kayam. Mirit Mendelson
