Posey lost his battle to cancer in 2005 but his memory lives on through helping others. This tournament has donated over $100,000 in proceeds. Last year through Hope we helped provide a family with a vehicle to transport their child to and from the hospital & we helped a child and her family get to a medical facility across the country for a special surgery that wasn’t offered here. We also assisted the Solomon family. Hope Children’s Fund is a local foundation that fosters Hope to families with children who have to receive medical attention outside of San Juan County. Every parent who applies for assistance is filled with Hope that everything will work out. Hope is reaching out to families and assisting them with travel expenses so that they don’t feel alone in the long journey. Proceeds of this tournament go to support these families in their time of need. Thousands of families have been assisted by this fund. This year we will also be donating proceeds to Justin Solomon who was diagnosed with cancer and underwent a bone marrow transplant last year and is currently waiting to undergo a kidney transplant (His mother Jennifer is the live donor) at Duke Hosptial. Justin graduated from PVHS in 2012 and we are committed to helping him through his battle.
