You are a teacher, not a sales-person. You are a teacher, not a sales-person. You are a teacher. Sell with what you teach. Teach what you sell. Dont try to trigger the impulse to buy, seek to trigger the impulse to engage, to grow, to participate, and to cultivate a sense of spirit. I dont like to waste a single second on sales strategies --I want to invest every ounce of my energy in listening, servicing, inspiring, giving, lifting, and being the teacher who says and does the things that put you in a position where you dont want to be a member --but where you HAVE to be a member. Of course and, sometimes, out of necessity, Ill take less, but in the spirit of beginning with the end in mind, thats what I have in my head. --- When I go to a martial arts business event and they start talking about how to craftily sell and close the sale, I walk out. When, someday, I walk into a martial arts business seminar thats about being in the business of wholeheartedly transforming a community with compassion and action --Ill take notes and volunteer to assist. I, for one, am sick and tired of being sold. Inspire me or go home. Your gross income doesnt impress me, I want to see you have a soul and the brains to use it.
