You are here Home / Teaching Artist for After School Art Program, High School Level Teaching Artist for After School Art Program, High School Level Creative Initiatives for Public Space (CIPS) is partnering with Ralph Ellison High School to pilot an after school arts program, and is seeking candidates to lead/facilitate/teach weekly classes. The intent of the After School Art Club is to bring arts programming to students at Ralph Ellison High School, a Chicago International Charter School on the citys South Side. The position will lead and facilitate weekly 1 - 1.5 hour sessions that provide directed studio practice in drawing and painting, while also allowing for independent expression and experimentation - and fun! The goal of the program is to culminate in an on-site mural at Ellison by the end of the school year. Supplies/materials for the class will be provided. Candidates will need to pass a background check and be able to arrange for transportation to and from the school. Compensation negotiable, commensurate with experience.
