You are invited to a Single Malt Whisky Tasting night at Artemeze! Do the names Lagavulin, Ardbeg, Caol Ila bring about a smile of remembered strong peaty malts, with a touch of the sea? Bunnahabhain and Bruichladdich mildler smoky tones, hints of fruit and mild spices a fine winters malt? If the answer is yes, then you will be reacquainted with old friends. If the Answer is no, then you will be introduced to some of the most unique Scottish Single Malts there are. All in good company, in the spirit of appreciation and friendship. To be held on Sunday October 26 at 5:30 pm, you will be treated to a dinner of lightly spiced Pork Affelia, Falafels and aromatic rice pilavi. Proceeding on to the tasting of six Single Malts whiskys from the Islay of Scotland. To finish off the evening you will be treated to a slice of Guinness cake and selected cheeses, a perfect way to end the evening. The evening will be hosted by Alan Evans who is a connoisseur of good Whisky, and a good friend of Artemeze. The amazing Guinness cake will be supplied by Mary Evans, a treat worth waiting for. Over the evening we will discuss the Malts, the ways you can have them, and show how a Whisky is effected by water, heat, and the shape of the vessel in which we drink our dram. Cost is $80 per head.
