You can always count on meeting nice and interesting folks at a festival. The story may be a bit long, but heres what happened last night..... Were all standing around and a golf cart rides by with a Happy Birthday banner on the back. We all yell out HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! They stop. An older gentleman is driving. The young woman riding with him tells us that she is a family friend from Colorado. She came to celebrate his 80th birthday, which was last Saturday. I asked him, Your birthday is April 19th? He said It sure is. I turned 80. I said My birthday is April 19th too and I turned 40. The young lady asked us what time of the day we were born. We both said at the same time 2 something in the afternoon. That got hoots, hollers, ooohs and ahhhhs from the whole gang. He said Youre my half life! I was 40 the day you were born and now youre 40. Thats something! He was just precious I tell you. Cute as a button and sweet as pie. And Ill have you know that he called me Half Life for the rest of the night! You just cant make this stuff up. So, heres to you Twice Life. I hope the rest of our birthday month is wonderful. Great minds think alike, even when theyre 40 years and to the hour apart. It was an honor and the pleasure was all mine! 😊
