You can argue from today till the year of our Lord, 3000 A.D, but you wont convince me otherwise on this: Everybody is NOT supposed to DO BOOKS. Just as we all arent supposed to hold mic to sing to others, dance exceptionally well, paint breathtaking portraits, sculpt with precision, etc. So also we all arent supposed to do books. Meaning? Ive seen people who struggle so hard at applying all the tips, rules and laws for academic excellence ever taught or written down, yet it just doesnt work. Laws are supposed to work every time but under certain conditions they fail. For example if you throw a ball up, it should ALWAYS come down but a ball thrown up in space wont come down- defying the law of gravity- because something fundamental has changed. Two students given same time of study, materials to study, lecturers; every factor same yet one gives the other so much gap in assimilation and output. Its because of their inner coding; their make up, who they are- which is fundamental determinant of life. Every one should learn to read, write and process basic info in and about their environment, this is 21st century. But then for some folks, that should be it. Else, the academic environment will soon tell him/her that theyre good for nothing- and that would be a lie. Imagine if Shakespeare was put in Physics class ONLY, Einstein in Sports field, Pele of Brazil in Mathematics class, etc. We PROBABLY MAY not have heard of these exceptional men. But we did because they found their terrain. You could have gone to all the music school you want at age 40 and probably wont have compared by half to the prowess of young boy Mozart at 11 years. Michael Jacksons mom tells, in a documentary, how that little MJ at 4years, would catch a song tune and blend in with perfect harmony with his brothers during their rehearsals. He was not a band member yet. Doesnt that tell you something? Until a man fails in his terrain, he is not really or should I say, TRUELY a failure. Even then, failing would be his choice and making. School will produce MORE geniuses if the pattern is changed and other forms of education become recognized that harness and sharpen human potential in other ways than pen, paper and cramming. Im not advocating laziness, Im just saying if school told you, youre no good, it lied. Find your place and enjoy your life. I may not be totally right here but I know what Ive said is true...Somehow.
