You can not be living a life full of in your face sin and expect to hear from GOD other than HIM giving you those unsettling feelings of conviction. And that what gives you the right to judge me? crap doesnt fly with me. Im speaking from my own crappy experience. I had that in your face sin in almost every area of my life at one point. I had a relationship with a man that GOD clearly did not approve of and somehow twisted it in my very shallow mind that it was all good because I was bringing him to church with me and we would grow together and worship together blah blah blah. We were living in sin but I thought that maybe GOD would bless our very tumultuous relationship if we attended church together. Thats insane! And thats crap!! And GOD didnt want me growing with that man. HE wanted me to get the heck away from HIM! And I may have been able to manipulate my circumstances in my own mind and in the mind of others, but GOD wasnt buying it. I was the poster child for a true hypocrite. And because of my hard headedness and refusal to give up that particular sin (one of many) that was hindering my relationship with GOD, HE finally because I gave HIM no other choice, allowed me to be hurt and shattered and to be broken. My point is...If you are a Christian and you feel as if GOD doesnt answer your prayers and that HE never speaks to you...take a good long look at yourself. Though most of us already know deep down in our hearts what the problem is, ask GOD to reveal to you what unrepented sin that you need to deal with. Not only will HE reveal it to you, but HE will give you the strength and courage to be done with it..... We all struggle with our own sinful nature. And we always will. But we cannot expect to receive GODs best for us when we continue to flaunt our worst. GOD is in the business of forgiving. HE is not in the business of rewarding bad behavior.
