You cant just live your life trying to copy others. Its an evolutionary desire for us to learn from each other, we need that trait to survive. But we can take it too far, engaging in fierce collectivism, and we punish people who we perceive as distant or divorced from the tribe. Its why people despise heretics and why circumcision exists. But we are all still individuals, with solitary minds. We need freedom so we can engage in creative expression of our innermost minds. Our singular, indivisible personalities are all we have. Love yourself, and be fearless in expressing who you truly are. Do not give in to fear! Yes, we are stronger together, but we are also strong individually.
