You ever wonder if the young people entering the profession see that a portion of society will hate them. If you think you should not encourage them to become Officers, ask yourself, If not them then who? It hasnt been that long in my 25 year plus career since I learned that some people hate the police because we remind some of their weakest or darkest secrets. Ive seen it many times in a shopping center at a gas station. A person that I have arrested sees me and they know that I know their darkest failure and that reminder turns to hate.
