You gotta see this message I just received: Hello, Thanks so much for accepting my friend request. So I just wanted to let you know I am a recovering mormon. I have really struggled with my testimony of the church for the past year or two. I came across your podcast on Apologia radio and all of your videos about the mormon church. I am grateful I stumbled across them because they have really helped me walk away from the mormon church. I never realized until watching your videos just how much LDS doctrine is the complete opposite of Christian doctrine. I joined the LDS church 15 years ago and I learned I didnt really know the bible. I have also come to realize in my 15 years in the church I never really knew Jesus Christ! I knew of him but didnt really know him. I have always felt a tremendous amount of guilt and not fitting in with the church. My husband is not a member of the church, I only have one child, and I work as a female police officer all of which make me stand out in the LDS church. With my current job it has been extremely difficult to attend the LDS church which has opened the door for me to see things in the doctrine that I might not otherwise have seen. It has been so stressful wondering if i am going to make it to the Celestial kingdom because i didnt keep the sabbath day holy or i didnt fast this month or my husband is not a member, or all the other things that you have to do to obtain eternal life. It just amazes me that i was a temple going mormon and was previously in Relief Society and Young Womens presidencies and realized how little of a relationship I had with Jesus Christ. Thank you for all the work you do!
