You just gotta love MSNBC, whining about their plummeting ratings after Megyn Kelly of Fox moved into prime time…Kelly is an incredibly gifted commentator/journalist, and follows “The O’Reilly Factor” perhaps the most successful news/entertainment show on cable TV, today. Fox has carved out an impressive viewing audience of both conservatives and moderates, and although they’re a bit right of center, their reporting on political issues is usually balanced. A good example of this is the current shutdown of the memorials, and what took place over the weekend with WWII vet’s taking down the barricades…however the actual storyline isn’t what took place over the weekend that created this story in the first place, but rather why after 18 previous shutdowns, would this administration for the first time choose to shutdown open air monuments, targeting WWII vet’s from paying their respect(s)…that’s the story. However MSNBC as usual didn’t report on the context of the shutdown and those elderly vets’s attending or their act of civil disobedience, but rather focused on one individual holding a confederate flag, and creating a storyline around that, to further their narrow agenda, that perhaps those in attendance (80 and 90 year olds, some in wheelchairs), were also bigots, perhaps racists…and that’s the reason why MSNBC’s ratings are in the crapper, where they belong.
