You know, Hydrotechnics was a festival with a handful of headliners and mad regional and local djs, with a vibe that you will not get by paying $200-300+ (tickets were a fraction of that cost!) on a ticket for. Free bottles of water being passed around, all kinds of music being played all of which was fantastic (I was dancing to hardstyle ffs lol), no stupid behavior from people that attended, and when it rained briefly the owner, Shane and Valdee went around to warn peeps to pull cars off the grass and onto hard road to avoid getting stuck in the mud. A festival doesnt need to have a million headliners for validation. It doesnt need to cost you two paychecks and a loan to attend. It just needs to have organizers that care, staff thats awesome and peeps that attend all of who truly love the music. Im saying this so people can make better festival choices as Hydrotechnics truly summed up all that we love about the outdoor festival experience in those 3 nights.
