You know I have been talking with dear friend of mine tonight. After talking with Tim since I have came back and talking with my friend.(he knows who he is). Ive realize you have to be a real strong dedicated, patient and loving MAN to stand by, support, and love a woman who is recovering from an abusive relationship. We are a wreck...first the fear we have when we are faced with leaving the abuser,emotional, easily upset, scared, angry, distant, needy...not to mention the sleepless nights, coping with the trauma, the pressure of showing us we can be safe..not to mention when those abusive exes are thrown in our face because the make unwanted contact or we run into them and all that fear and emotions are brought to the surface...then we get knocked back two steps from the one step we made.......and these men stand by us with no hesitation..they stand by us strong ,willing and ready to accept and protect us from whatever gets put in our path of healing....we get props for being strong and fighting through this(and we should) but right along with us the men who support us through that fight should get props as well. Because I dont know if Id be as far as I am with out my baby. If you are a survivor and you have a man who has supported you through it all. Give him a hug and tell him thank you. Love you all!!!!!
