You know, I love to post good things about the various places to eat in our community. I can never say enough how much I love the Thai Jasmine restaurant and the people that run it. Unfortunately, I cant say the same thing for Bandidos. We walked in there tonight and it was far from crowded. With my husband and I, there were maybe 10-12 people eating there. Our waitress was very bubbly and nice, so that was a plus. We ordered our food: a chicken burrito and a sweet pork taco salad. Not hard, right? 45 minutes later, we finally got our food. Keep in mind, there were no more than 12 people in there. There were about five waiters/waitresses standing around, waiting for something to do. So, we were off to a disappointing start. I dug into my salad and it was fine. The pork had a nice flavor and it seemed fresh, but as I got the the bottom, I still hadnt seen the guacamole that was advertised on the menu. My husbands burrito was nasty. It had what looked like those frozen strips of pre-grilled chicken in it and the hot sauce on top tasted like theyd dumped it straight out of a tomato sauce can and waved a pepper over it...not even a hot pepper at that. I asked about the guacamole and the waitress said, Oh, Im sorry, were out. Why I wasnt told this at any point while I was eating the salad, I dont know. She said that shed just found out a few minutes before, but didnt bother telling me when she did. I told her that we were both disappointed with our food. She apologized and proceeded to give us our check for the full amount...though one of the most expensive items of my salad, which I was really looking forward to the most, wasnt on it. Lots of apologies there, but customer service and what you might call Mexican food was lacking. Ill be sticking with Rancheritos, thank you very much. If they dont get their act together, there will be room for a new restaurant where Bandidos sits soon.
