You know, I normally dont acknowledge negative posts But because I keep seeing it on other peoples posts I must speak on it! I will say this, that being an African American woman, I do OBVIOUSLY not condone violence nor do I condone racism! Being married to a Caucasian man we get stares, gestures and we have our own issues that we face as a interracial married couple and it is not easy raising biracial children in the world we live in today. So I will say this: 1. My husband and I raise our children with all our love from our hearts and soul. 2. We teach our kids about both sides of their heritage. 3. We teach them about the negativities of this world and how cruel people can be. Apparently, I have some people who have issues with my son being in the mummers parade. I cant help that there our some evil people out there. But this is where we teach them to dare to be different!! And what kind of parents would we be if we constantly shield them all their lives? I am happy that they have two sides of their family and friends that love them and support them in whatever it is they do, no matter what their belief is. I think what hurts me more is to see the other side of people who claim to be my friends. Yes everyone is entitled to their opinion but if you have a problem with my marriage or what my children are a part of, Please unfriend yourself. I love my family and all its motley...
