You know, I really hope and pray that last nights post becomes the norm. To be honest, it was 12:45 am when I realized I didnt post anything. I had a good visit this evening. I surprised Laura a little by bringing my beard trimmer and shaving her legs. I know how you women can get when you get a little stubble. Imagine 5 months of stubble. She watched me the whole time and we both enjoyed it. I then put some lotion on them to protect from razor burn. We talked about a variety of things, including trying to convince her that she couldnt get out of the bed. She seems to have a bunch of places she needs to go. Before I forget, she will probably be at Select Specialty Hospital (Emory) until at least August 5th. This is when the antibiotic regimen is complete. For those of you in the area, Laura would love to see you. Most of her day is very boring and she really lights up when she sees someone she knows. She really hasnt had very many visitors. At around 7:15 I looked up and saw a familiar face. It was my Sergeant Major from 22 plus years ago, Roger Ruckert. I told Laura, Look whos here. Oh my gosh, she was so excited. Her face beamed with happiness and surprise. We had a great visit, and while we were talking she rolled over and fell into a very relaxed sleep. Before she fell asleep though, I decided to try a test. I said, I know you recognize him but do you remember his name? She said, Yes. I said, Really, what is it? She said, Roger! Pretty cool. She passed.
