You know, I remember when I was in my addiction. And how I was like the jackass that was lured by the carrot dangled before his eyes. Always seeing the prize but never able to obtain it. It was always just out of reach. I almost killed myself because of it. If it werent for divine intervention I would be dead an busting hell wide open. But on a freezing night on December 28th 1994 around 2am. The sheriff department pulled me over for a traffic violation. It was then and there that I heavily under the influence of crack cocaine, turned myself in for robbing a convenient store. That night changed my whole life. That night I gave my life to Jesus. This December 28th will mark 20 years of sobriety. And today I look back at the road that leads to Christ and am thankful he didnt leave me where I was. My life is so much fun now because its been restored beyond my wildest dreams. I owe so much to Christ the only way I can repay him is to honor him and give him my service. Gods not dead. He lives in me.
