You know, a few weeks ago I couldnt explain the seriousness of stopping drinking Coca Cola, boycotting Starbucks & Mc Donalds & checking your labels being clear not to purchase items marked as - ◇West Bank ◆Israel ◇Settlements ◆Jordon Valley/Jordon River Even attending a Gaza fundraiser & being outraged Coke was on the tables. My friends Im sure thought Id lost it... Though, some people would say to me Sonia what else can we boycott & I would explain there are masses of products that all interlink, I.e if you boycott Nescafe in the UK & seek another brand, quite often you find the other brand could be owned by Kraft for example which too is Israeli.. Then depending on where you are in the world its hard to outsource & then you have the hassle of possibly travelling way out of town just to get coffee.. Plus often if you switch to store brand coffee i.e Tesco you can then find they too fund Israel. It becomes a minefield & very complicated, which in turn then causes people to quit.. Whilst I am a strong ambassador to boycotting & BDS I have just kept it simple for friends & realistic. I believe 100% in BDS & know its working - end of story... The fruit & veg industry reported an amount of something like 500 million shekels of losses earlier this year. Co-Op quite a while ago refused to trade with Israel & began ethically trading.. Activists especially in Scotland demonstrate outside Sainsburys to encourage them to follow suit... The problem with Coke & Pepsi/Nescafe/LOréal/Revlon is that if odd people do it in all honesty it will make no difference except to your conscience - Each to their own. The brands are so big you do need a company or companies to cease trading entirely with that brand for an impact. Look at coke - Even countries that do not speak English - Everyone knows Coke, its huge... But Ill wrap it up - The shops/businesses internationally that are boycotting Coke now & other Israeli bs I really believe they will hit losses, & not small ones Bottom line - I am Happy!! ECSTATIC..
