You know by now that while I appreciate do what you love (DWYL) and #followyourpassion Im not a convert.. because a vast majority of jobs and life situations dont allow for that (mortgages, kids.. tough times etc.) and we cant just demean the labor of 90% of people on the planet. I believe that DWLY, and other related self-focused mantras - love yourself, be yourself - anything that focuses on our individual happiness while ignoring our obligations to others, can easily descend into privilege and elitism dressed up as noble self-betterment. Your thoughts?
