You know since the loss of my little dog in January Ive been searching for a rescue center in and around NWI to adopt. Im still looking for a Yorkie and found 2 places. One happened to be in PA (a Yorkie adoption center only) and another one here in this area. So the one in PA came back to me today and after clearly looking at my application declined it because I lived out of PA. I told the woman I would travel to pick up the dog. Sorry. 😞 So I looked at another in Indianapolis and the financial information they wanted ... How much I made last year, whats my take home pay. Never did ask me about whether I could care for this rescue dog and the fact that once I pay their fees and would continue to have make contributions. I dont think these rescue shelters are out for the dogs, but themselves. What a shame. I will not adopt from a rescue center.
