You know that "Universal Fund Fee" on your wireless phone bill? $2.50/month? THAT is what funds the "Obamaphones" program... Furthermore, the wireless service companies contracted by the federal government (I.e. Safelite, Assurion) to sign people up for the program DO NOT verify eligibility. Anybody can walk up to their booths outside of the various welfare and food stamps offices and get one...or more.... The companies sign you up, give you the phone(s), and send the bill to the government...monthly...indefinitely.
