You know the old saying about baseball is you see something different everyday. Well today was a first for me and heres what happened. We are up 14-1 in the top of the 5th inning and a runner at 2nd after a double with 2 outs. We bring in a pinch runner tried to steal 3rd. So I am coaching 3rd and I hear them yell runner on the pitch. I ask the runner did I give u a sign to steal and then I said did Ziggy tell you to go? He says yes and so I get to the dugout and Ziggy is dumb founded and holding his hands out like what are u doing. I asked the runner again who sent him to 3rd and it was the umpire told him to steal 3rd and the whole time I am thinking is the other team is thinking I am trying to run up the score and the ump came over and said he told our runner to steal to get the game over. Our runner was out by about 30 and I am sure if he would have been safe he was still going to ring him up. Now the apologies we are having to tell the other teams coach so they dont think we are trying to run up the score and they just thanked us thought we did it on purpose to help them out. Never had this happen to me before.
