You know what? I do have more on my mind... its my birthday so I am entitled... I thought Id be miserable... another year, hundreds of animals still looking for homes, being abused, living hell. Yet, having said that, I should say thanks that I am privileged to at least be caring for all the cats in my street. A big thanks to Pardesiyas iriyah for going around and spaying cats this month - including my adorable Garfield... it helped with the costs of caring for them! Also, for the first time in my life this year I took a leap of faith and a big breath and went from being a full-time employee to opening my own business from home so I can spend more time with my amazing little girls - a blessing and a dream come true. I was given a huge gift in being able to rescue a puppy - whose name is .... Puppy (dont laugh). And now all Im missing is a kitten... Oscar is fed up with Puppy and me putting ear drops in his ears:( I hope he comes around. Tink also left home and only drops by to eat on the odd occasion... its hard when the cats grow up and move out. Teddy is still with me all the time and Pinky - who was the first to arrive and who started a chain of events and a circle of love. Now my feeding circle is sometimes 9 cats. A blessing, but not enough... never. When Im feeding them, I feel closest to g-d or whatever powers are out there! So, this has been a challenging, but good year really. Do something for me today... feed an animal, adopt a kitten, put water out, donate to an animal welfare society, and teach your children to love and care for animals - perhaps the next generation is their only hope left.
