You know what last night i played at a lovely wedding, it was such an amazing place, everyone was so happy, and dancing, the dj played a set of old rock and roll numbers, and the dance floor suddenly came to life , then a song came on “Great balls of Fire” now to most this is just another old rock and roll song, but to me this is a peace of music was apart my childhood that i will cherish forever, it took me back to when i was 11-12 years old, and my dad, and his rock and roll band got me up to play the drums at one of there gigs, i remember how nervous i was but i played my little heart out, and my dad being my dad wanted to show me off at any opportunity, i just followed his lead and the buzz was amazing, he then got me to do a drum solo!!!! i was like no dad noooo, but i did it, and that was it i was hooked,i just remember the feeling of ”wow i can do this and looking at my father and him looking back at me with a smile and saying “thats my boy he just had that thing! that thing you see when a musician commands the stage and the audience, a true musician who connected with everyone, but mostly me,he was my hero, and i know at that moment music was going to be my life! thank you my amazing dad, love you so much and was so grateful to have played along side such an amazing man, and to have had you in my life xxx
