You know, when I left Washington, DC, I thought I had left the world of graft behind me? Boy was that not right! I have discovered some unethical, illegal behavior in my hometown, that includes abuse of power, a secret payoff of a city official, who in turn did something pretty immoral. I used to play in the big pool, with sharks, and these guppies in the pond, arent even good at covering their tracks. I just pushed send on an email, with a detailed letter attached, to the Assistant US Attorney, for the Eastern District of Illinois, who happens to be a friend of mine. We met, because she was prosecuting ex wife number 2s husband..lol.. This prosecutor and I hit it right off...In Washington, when I first started out, I had what my firm sarcastically called Bobs Penal Practice. I was really good at getting the feds to prosecute adversaries of my clients. I just cant turn a blind eye to corruption, no matter where I see it. Let the chips fall where they may. This will not be good for the image of my hometown, but in the long run, it will be best for it, if these people go to prison. The wheels are in motion.
