You know your Social Critic Sis has got to chime in on the Soul Train Awards. Tamar, specifically... Ok, her performance was WACK+2 at best...especially when she swung all that dag-nab hair around like 4xs in a row. Cra! LOL. Tamar is a signifyin trendsetter. Im not going to take that from her. Folk are quoting her throughout the Black community. However...last night was the FIRST, AND I MEAN FIRST time I EVA saw an inkling of humility in her. NEVER have I seen it before. So basically, Im summing up 2 things. (1) I will (probably not) go see her in concert if Im already there and she happens 2 B there...like @ ESSENCE FEST or (maybe) if somebody gave me a free tic. I wont buy one...MAYbe, maybe. And (2) shes not strong in live performance; better in the studio. (Ref: Wendy & Celebration of Gospel perf) For her to be so She did that!
