You know youve been quilting and hanging out in fabric shops way too much when the sales clerk is too busy to help a newbie to quilting. LOL, I stepped in and helped the lady. She was making her first tshirt quilt. I helped her by showing her what fusible fabric was to stablize the tshirt before she sewed, then took her out to my car where I had a baby quilt in progress and showed her what batting was ( I like the warm and natural best), then showed her how the quilting pins kept it in placed rather than basting. I told her about your website and Missouri Star Quilt site, then told her about the tutorials that are free on the web. I also showed her the difference between fabric and good quilting fabric and explained about the weaves and how they made a difference. I also told her the cheapest isnt always the best and to go for quality when in doubt.
