You may already know that the Titanic hit an iceberg at 11:40 p.m. on the night of April 14, 1912 and sunk just over two-and-a-half hours later. It is believed that the event wouldn’t have been that tragic if the captain hadn’t cancelled the scheduled lifeboat drill that day, reasons still unknown till date. The situation was made dire since the lifeboats were not enough to save everyone onboard but interestingly the few lifeboats were not full some having only 24 people though the full capacity was 65.
